Code Blue event personnel are front-line healthcare professionals with extensive experience in pre-hospital and event medical care. They are all registered with the appropriate professional body (PHECC, Medical Council, An Bord Altranais) and carry the appropriate level of professional indemnity and malpractice insurance.
We use only front-line staff from Emergency Departments, General Practice and 999 Ambulance services. This ensures staff are clinically up-to-date and properly certified in emergency care with BLS, ACLS, ATLS, APLS etc.
Below are short bios of some of our staff...
Mick Conway (BSc (Fire Engineering), Dip EMT) is a firefighter-paramedic with 7 years experience in Dublin Fire Brigade as operational paramedic and 999 controller. Mick has vast experience at mass-gathering events - Oxegen, RDS, O2 Arena, Slane Castle, Croke Park, Dublin Docklands Festival, Olympia Theatre (and many more) - as paramedic and event controller/medical controller.
Michael Bennett (BSc MD MCEM) is Emergency Department registrar at the Adelaide Meath and National Children’s Hospital, Tallaght. He is certified in ACLS, ATLS and APLS and has covered events ranging from Mixed Martial Arts to major music festivals such as Oxegen and Electric Picnic.
Stephen Kelly (R.N.I.D, R.G.N. PgDIP (Ed) MSC (ED) Cert HRM) is Clinical Nurse Specialist in Rapid Assessment and Triage in the Emergency Department of Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. With 13 years experience of emergency nursing, he has also worked at mass gethering events such as Electric Picnic, Oxegen and the Ryder Cup. Stephen is an ACLS, BLS, PALS, ALERT and ATNC instructor.
